I was recently asked why I don’t post more “technical” stuff on my blog. The truth is, I do post a fair amount of technical details, but it’s not going to be found here. I maintain separate websites for separate pieces of content. Some may argue that I’d be more successful if I put it all in one place, but I argue against that.
Those that read my stuff here, are interested in me as a person and the personal side of me. Those that follow me at Worthless Stuff, want to read about obtuse and funny things. They aren’t so interested in my weekend with kids or my travels. So where can all these other sites be found? I’m glad you asked, below is a list with a description of the type of content you’ll find on each.
- ME: If you are reading this, then you’ve found it. This is my personal blog. I write about things that are important to me and my family & friends. What you won’t find here is things about my business or technical accomplishments.
- Worthless Stuff: This is my fun place, it’s also a blog I built from scratch. That means that the CMS and the style are completely custom. I tinker on this site and try new things. I would consider this fun content or slightly less personal.
- Ten Happy: Back in the day our goal was to have 10 happy customers. I’m revitalizing this and speaking only about business and customer success on this blog. The content isn’t going to be updated as much, but it will be much more insightful.
- TRKR Clothing: If you know me, then you are aware that I’m a T-Shirt loving guy whom also likes trucker hats and casual wear. I’ve had many clothing sites, all with various levels of success. This time I’ve decided to turn it up a notch and give it a real social media effort and bring forward some designs that really engaging. Check out the blog and the store.
That’s about it at the moment. I have a ton of other URL’s that I’ve held onto over the years, but these are the one’s I’ve worked on the most. A few of them are very much a work in progress, but they do have content worth checking out. Should you have a question, don’t hesitate to ask.
